Frankenstein Lives

Finally there is one reason to visit Tucson, Arizona. This past weekend we bore the pain of Tucson's road construction to visit Casey and Tamra. We got tickets to the Gaslight Theatre to see the musical "Frankenstein Lives." The show was great! Victor Frankenstein works to bring his father's experiment alive. Has he created a man or a monster? The answer is revealed through witty dialogue and lots of spontaneous singing and dancing. I can't wait to go back!

All of us waiting for the show to start.

Linda, the piano player, serenaded us before and after the show. You can't help but smile with Linda at the piano.

Gardening with Grandpa

We visited Grandma and Grandpa Brewer in Taylor, Arizona for Labor Day weekend. While a visit to grandpa's house is lots of fun, it is certainly no vacation. We canned 35 gallons of green beans and a truck load of corn. Now, I get a common question from Carianne before dinner each night: "Do you want green beans or corn?" I must say, nothing compares to fresh, homegrown vegetables.

Golf Clubs

After secluding myself for three months studying for the bar exam, I finally have a little free time to indulge in some of my old hobbies. I just finished reading "Team of Rivals" -- a biography about Abraham Lincoln. I highly recommend it. Carianne also let me splurge a little and buy a new set of Callaway's (ok, she let me splurge a lot). Below, you can see pictures of me with my pasty-white legs (and beautiful golf swing) christening my clubs at the driving range.
